Welcome to Tether. Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the Tether mobile application (the "App") operated by Tether ("we", "our", or "us").
These Terms govern your access to and use of the App. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not access or use the App.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and any applicable laws and regulations. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Tether regarding your use of the App.
2. Description of the App
Tether is a relationship connection application designed to help couples strengthen communication and connection through shared questions, reflections, and activities. The App allows users to answer prompts, view responses, and engage with their partner within the platform. Certain features of the App may require the creation of an account and the connection of that account with a partner in order to access shared functionality.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features of the App, you may be required to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe that your account has been accessed without authorisation, you should notify us immediately. Tether reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that are suspected of fraudulent or abusive activity.
4. Partner Connections
The App allows users to connect their account with a partner in order to share answers and participate in shared activities. When you connect with another user within the App, certain information and responses may become visible to that partner as part of the intended functionality of the service.You acknowledge that content you choose to share within the App may be visible to your connected partner and that Tether is not responsible for how that information is interpreted or used by another user.Either user may remove a partner connection through the App. Removal of a connection may affect the visibility of shared responses and certain features of the App.
5. User ContentT
he App allows users to submit written responses, reflections, and other content. You retain ownership of the content you create and submit through the App. By submitting content within the App, you grant Tether a limited licence to store, display, and process that content solely for the purpose of operating the App and providing its features. You agree that you will not submit content that is unlawful, abusive, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise inappropriate.
6. Subscriptions and Purchases
Certain features of the App may require a paid subscription or one time purchase. Subscription plans, pricing, and available features may be described within the App. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store depending on your device. Payment processing, billing cycles, and subscription management are handled by the applicable app store provider. Unless otherwise required by applicable law, purchases are generally non refundable. To avoid being charged for the next billing cycle, subscriptions must be cancelled through the relevant app store at least twenty four hours before the renewal date. Tether reserves the right to modify subscription pricing or features at any time.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others or interfere with their use of the App. You agree not to misuse the App, attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts, disrupt the operation of the service, or use the platform to harass or harm other users.
8. Relationship Disclaimer
Tether is designed to encourage communication and reflection between partners. The App is not a substitute for professional therapy, counselling, or relationship advice.Content, prompts, and questions within the App are provided for conversational and entertainment purposes only. Tether does not guarantee any particular outcomes in relationships or personal wellbeing.
9. Intellectual Property
The App and all original content, design, functionality, and features are the property of Tether and its licensors. The App is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works based on any part of the App without prior written permission.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without prior notice or liability, if you violate these Terms or engage in behaviour that may harm the App or other users.Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. Certain provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
Your use of the App is at your own risk. The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error free.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tether and its owners, employees, partners, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, loss of relationship information, loss of goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the App.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Tether and its affiliates, officers, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from your use of the App or your violation of these Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Australian Capital Territory, Australia, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
15. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. When changes are made, the updated version will be posted within the App and the "Last Updated" date will be revised.Continued use of the App after changes have been posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
