Tether is designed to help couples communicate more openly and build stronger connections. The experience works best when users treat each other with honesty, respect, and care. These Community Guidelines outline the standards we expect from everyone using the Tether App.
1. Respect Your Partner
Tether is built for shared reflection and conversation. When using the App, you should treat your partner with respect and communicate in good faith.The platform should not be used to insult, humiliate, manipulate, or intentionally harm another person. Content shared through Tether should contribute to constructive dialogue rather than conflict or harassment.
2. Be Honest and Authentic
The purpose of Tether is to create genuine conversations between partners. Users are encouraged to answer questions honestly and thoughtfully. Using the platform to deceive, impersonate another person, or deliberately mislead your partner undermines the purpose of the App and may result in account restrictions.
3. No Harassment or Abuse
Harassment, bullying, intimidation, or threatening behaviour is not allowed on the platform. This includes written responses, messages, or any interaction that targets another user in a harmful or abusive way. If we become aware that the platform is being used to harm another person, we may take action including limiting or removing access to the App.
4. No Illegal or Harmful Content
Users must not submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, abusive, sexually exploitative, or otherwise harmful.The App is intended for conversation between partners, not for sharing offensive or dangerous material.
5. Respect Privacy
Tether conversations are intended to be shared between partners within the App. Users should respect the privacy of their partner and avoid sharing or distributing private responses outside the platform without consent.
6. Account Integrity
Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their account and for the activity that occurs under it.Attempts to access another user's account, disrupt the operation of the App, or exploit the service are not permitted.
7. Enforcement
If these guidelines are violated, Tether may take action which may include warning users, limiting access to certain features, suspending accounts, or removing accounts entirely. These actions are taken to protect the safety and integrity of the community.
8. Relationship Wellbeing Reminder
Tether is designed to encourage communication between partners, but it is not a substitute for professional counselling or therapy. If you or your partner are experiencing serious relationship difficulties, we encourage seeking support from qualified professionals.
